SNOW.

Blizzard 2011.

Wow. It's gorgeous. Being from Texas, I am used to ice, snow (a little bit), and maybe lots of snow, but not really a blizzard. Christmas of 2009 we said we had a "blizzard", but it did not compare to this in the least bit. The winds were 20-40 mph and there were snow drifts, something I have never seen before.

Because this could easily turn into a novel since so much has happened, here is the condensed order of events since Monday night:

9:00PM-all of WMU shouts in joy because school is canceled. it was loud. i loved it.

The rest of the night-flash light tag with the hall, hello, have you seen Mrs. Mervin?! The three south halls declared war against the north and challenged them to a battle in the oval at 4:00PM the next day. Greatness. Just Dance 2 for 2 hours. We looked like idiots. Movie time: 17 again. I fell asleep-shocker? Nah.

Tuesday: As I woke up I immediately looked outside, it's snowing and little flakes are blowing everywhere. No longer can you see the small brick 1-2 feet border that surrounds campus. The snow was so dry because of the wind it just blew, I don't really know if it was snowing that hard or not.

Lunch: 3rd south ventured out to the ARA(cafateria) to go eat some food. Nasty, as usual, but they tried! I'm thankful for living right next to the ARA because it was definitely windy and I couldn't see all that well! :)

Post-lunch: Movie time! You, Me, and Dupree. Great movie! Then it was time for the "battle". The boys over at AGEE heard about it and rumor had it that they were coming to fight in the snow ball war. We all bundled up...

...and went outside. It was great. We were walking through snow up to our knees and falling everywhere. The wind was bitter and snow was blowing in our eyes. Unfortunately, the snow just wasn't wet enough and it was more like throwing snow than actual snow balls. We made snow angels and then we all dispersed. A few of us headed to Raley Chapel and slid down the stairs. It was fun, but we really needed hills and contrary to popular belief, "Bison Hill" does not have a hill. Anne fell in the fountain 2 times-the ice was definitely not thick enough! :)
Then it was late, dinner, and movie time. We stayed up late watching Pride and Prejudice and the Prince of Persia. All in all it was a fantastic day. I love this hall that I live on and all the wonderful ladies. There is NEVER a dull moment.

Thank you Jesus for such a great day! And now to continue on with snow day number two. =)
