This last week Life Action Ministries hosted a revival at our church. Yup, I said it. A revival. And ya know what? It was beautiful. God revived our hearts, well mine anyways, and rerouted it back towards Him. It is so easy to get caught off guard and focused on the things here and now. I am just so thankful for the opportunity to have spent four days with my church focusing on what really matters - Christ! I was reminded, well actually taught, about grace. I had never really understood it to the extent that I do now, though I am sure I still do not understand it fully. Our speaker put it nicely: Grace is the dynamic quality of God within me that gives me the desire and the power to live in harmony with God and His Word.
"Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
-Hebrews 4:16-
I am just so thankful that I can approach God with confidence, and I can ask Him for grace to get me through circumstances! There is so much more to this, but that's it in a nut shell I guess.
Well, in 14 days I head off to Allen, TX to meet my intern team and spend 3 days with them in orientation for Romania. And on June 13th we take that 7:30AM flight to Romania! Words cannot describe what I am feeling right now. I am excited, overwhelmed, anxious, and amazed. Just a quick prayer request for now. Be praying for my team and I...there are ten of us. Pray for our hearts to be focused on Christ. Pray for us as we share sweet moments, and love on precious children. I look forward to sharing this journey with you all and I thank you all so much for your prayers!
Feel free to send me your email, via Facebook or email and I will send you the weekly emails that contain more detailed prayer requests! :)
And now....for a fun video!
